Breakages or deficiencies should be noted on the delivery note with signature.
Natural & Handmade products by their nature may be subject to shade, texture, colour variation and some cases thickness, and crazing this is a characteristic and not a fault.
Delivery time shall not be the essence of the contract. Delivery times are quoted in good faith. The company shall make every effort to comply with quoted delivery times but it shall not be liable for any failure to fulfill delivery on or before the quoted time. Any subsequent actions arising from the failure of Tile Culture to deliver goods on or before the quoted delivery time shall not be the liability of the company. Deliveries are made in good faith as a service. Delivery details will be sent you by email, you may also be contacted by telephone. You the customer shall make all arrangements as necessary to take delivery of the goods and to sign for them. It is the customers responsibility to check the quantity and condition of the goods, and to note any discrepencies on the delivery note.
Quantities, It is the responsibility of the customer to ensure quantities ordered are correct and adequate for your project as we cannot accept returns for over orders, (see Returns policy). We recomend an additional 10% to your order to allow for cutting waste and breakage during transit to your premises. An additional 20% for diamond patterns. In the ceramics industry it is widely acceptable due to the nature of the product to make allowances for a minimal amount of breakage during transit. These tiles may be used for cuts during fixing. For natural products it is advisable to add a little more for breakage in transit due to the natural characteristics of stone, again these can be used for cuts, our recomendation is say 10% plus round up to nearest full square metre. This is an acceptable factor in the stone industry due to the nature of the product, therefore Tile Culture cannot under any circumstances be responsible for the replacement of any said breakages.
Natural Products, may be by their nature irregular in size, thickness, colour and texture, however these do not constitute a defect but are a characteristic of natural timeless beauty, although the majority of all our stones come callibrated. All natural products are supplied in their natural form and will require sealing.
